Supportive APP
As the global population ages, the physical and mental well-being of independent elderly individuals has become a significant concern. In response, I have undertaken the creation of an application to assist them in emergency situations and to enrich their retirement experience, potentially enabling them to embark on new career paths.

Problem Context
As the world's population ages, the physical and mental health of empty-nesters or independently living elderly, especially for those 80 years and older, has been a big problem.

"In fact, 56% of older adults said they in June 2020, according to a University of Michigan poll on healthy aging. That’s more than double the number of seniors who reported feeling isolated in 2018’s healthy aging poll. This isolation can lead to depression, weight loss, cognitive decline, and other medical complications, research suggests." Proposal
Design an application aimed at retirees to engage in local events, share stories, make friends, pursue new careers, learn skills, and offer/request services. The goal is to establish a stable network connecting retirees, family, friends, neighbors, and local elderly nonprofit organizations.
Research
User Research
I conducted video interviews with three participants to explore retirees' leisure activities, ideal retirement lifestyles, help-seeking habits, and social connections.
Findings
01.
Younger elders favor modern social media, while older individuals lean towards traditional channels like email and phone calls for seeking assistance.
02.
All expressed a desire for increased family and friend interactions.
03.
Most were keen on sharing their skills.
